Welcome to Children’s Focus where culture, the arts and families connect!

Growing up in New York City, I thought I was very lucky to have my own backyard. Of course, I had to share Central Park with hundreds of other people but hey, that was part of the fun. I just loved the park, and looked forward to trips to my favorite hiding place, my favorite rock and playground. What more could you ask for on a beautiful summer day! Today life is not always simple but I see New Yorkers have that same feeling of joy and freedom as soon as the first beautiful summer day appears. Sometimes we start celebrating the season before the weather changes like wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts on some very cool days. Sometimes I have to smile when I see birthday parties being celebrated in the park or like the other day when I watched a mother open a folding table on the sidewalk next to her stoop and serve dinner to her children. New York loves the outdoors, and there are plenty of activities to keep us busy outside this summer. Don't forget
to check out What’s Happening NY for the best in cultural events.

Congratulations to all the graduates! May success and joy always be in your future.
